1. Landfalls
In Landfalls, every element reflects the composer’s sonic research. Alongside the electronic sounds emerges a virtual piano tuned to a non-natural temperament, symbolizing an alternative perceptual dimension. The work suspends time between personal introspection and the exploration of previously uncharted acousmatic territories, outlining the essential features of the composer’s artistic poetics.
2. 2Bruck
(First Prize – San Fedele International Prize, 8th Edition)
2Bruck is a tribute to Anton Bruckner and the monumental character of his symphonic writing. Fragments of his music are recomposed through different degrees of electroacoustic transformation, while sound spatialization becomes a metaphor for light as a path toward liberation, memory, and transcendence.
3. Green Wave
Green Wave is an ecological and ethnomusicological electroacoustic work based on the transformation of Neapolitan neomelodic song. The original sound material is progressively reshaped until its identity dissolves, excavating its melismatic structures to reveal primordial resonances that symbolically reconnect the listener with the myth of Parthenŏpe.
4. Electronic Nocturne II
Electronic Nocturne II, a substantial reimagining of the composer’s earlier work of the same title, transforms the night into a space for contemplation. Electronic layers gradually overlap and dissolve, guiding the listener toward an intimate and suspended sonic experience. An epilogue that concludes the cycle as a return to the essential, allowing silence to emerge as an integral part of musical form.
5. The Secret of the Ankh
Inspired by the ancient Egyptian symbol of the ankh, this work explores a possible eschatology of sound, in which sonic matter is transformed into a primitive and instinctive sign. Sonic masses, immersive soundscapes, and rhythmic articulations construct an archaic semiotics, while electronic synthesis sculpts vibration as the ancient Egyptians carved their hieroglyphs, giving shape to a ritualistic, symbolic, and deeply immersive sonic structure.
6. Meanwhile… in Italy
Meanwhile… in Italy is a satirical sonic documentary that explores the contradictions of Italian society, from the divisions of the pre-unification era to the early 2000s. Through national anthems, archival recordings, and documentary sound materials, the work offers an ironic portrait of the country.
