Alessandra Bellino - Pianist, composer and teacher, graduated from Accad. Nat. of S. Cecilia with full grades with Azio Corghi, she perfected at the Chigiana Academy in Siena and with Ivan Fedele, graduating in Music Disciplines at Tecnol. in Composition with full grades and honors. Absolute winner of the International Competition of Composition Magistralia of Asturias for large orchestra and of the International Music Prize for Exellence in Composition Thessaloniki Greece, she wrote solo works, for ensemble, orchestra, theater and multimedia, performed in Italy and abroad (Spectrum Festival New York, MITO, Proxima Centauri Bordeaux, Rèsonance Contemporaine, SMC Lausanne, Cicus Universidad Superior Conservatory of Music Seville, Play-it! Florence, La Biennale di Venezia) performed by prestigious soloists, ensembles and orchestras (Paolo Carlini, Roberto Fabbriciani, Ensemble Dissonanzen, SpazioMusica, Quartetto Klimt, Sestetto Stradivari, Castilla y Leòn Orchestra, OSPA, Sanremo Orchestra, Matera Orchestra, Tito Schipa Orchestra of Lecce, ORT, OdG Fiesole, etc.), broadcast by RNE, RAI radio 3, Vatican Radio, Radio Svizzera Lugano, RTS Espace 2 Switzerland, and published by Rusty, Bèrben, ArsPublica, Ludo, Sconfinarte, Ut Orpheus, Edition Tre Fontane Münster. She has recorded with the labels MAP, CD Baby Portland (USA) and has released three monographic CDs for SIAE Classici di Oggi (CD Bravade! ovvero delle Metamorfosi with STRADIVARIUS, and the two CDs Gran Salto and Volubile e Leggiera with EMA Vinci Records). She is professor at the D. Cimarosa Conservatory of Music in Avellino (Italy).
Hakki Cengiz Eren’s music has been performed across the United States, Europe, Brazil and Turkey. He has worked with many renowned ensembles such as Schallfeld, Ensemble, Ensemble Móbile, Ensemble Suono Giallo, Ensemble Composit, Meitar Ensemble, Ecce, Argus Quartet and Ensemble Modern. In 2017 he has been commissioned by the Royaumont foundation to write a new work for the Meitar Ensemble. Among several international awards he has been recognized with are the Hans J. Salter Music Memorial Award, 1st prize in MIGF composition competition, Peter David Faith Memorial Award, Donald Aird Earplay Competition (finalist) and the prestigious American Prize for Composition (finalist). Cengiz has completed his Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance at the Peabody Institute. This was followed by a Master’s degree in composition at University of Michigan. Cengiz has recently obtained a DMA in composition from the USC Thornton School of Music, where his main teachers have been Stephen Hartke, Donald Crockett and Sean Friar.
Carlos Nuñez Medina studied composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid under the guidance of Teresa Catalan. Later, he expands his studies in courses and seminars with composers such Stefano Gervasoni, Alberto Posadas, Stratis Minakakis and Jorge Villavicencio Grossmann among others. He obtains different prizes in International Composition Contests like the II International Competition "Ciudad de Orihuela" (Spain), the IX International Composition Competition for Accordion "Francisco Escudero" (Spain) and the XII International Composition Competition of Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal). He has premiered works in the Plural Ensemble National Tour, VI Barcelona Modern International Festival, VIII Ensemble Festival, III Valencia International Festival, 29th edition of 20th century music cycle. His compositions have been premiered by the Mivos Quartet, Aeolina Quartet, Plural Ensemble, Rubik Ensemble and Toy Ensemble. Nowadays, he teaches Harmony in the Conservatory of Tarazona (Spain).
Composer João Pedro Oliveira holds the Corwin Endowed Chair in Composition for the University of California at Santa Barbara. He studied organ performance, composition and architecture in Lisbon. He completed a PhD in Music at the University of New York at Stony Brook. His music includes opera, orchestral compositions, chamber music, electroacoustic music and experimental video. He has received over 50 international prizes and awards for his works, including three Prizes at Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competition, the prestigious Magisterium Prize and Giga-Hertz Special Award, 1st Prize in Metamorphoses competition, 1st Prize in Yamaha-Visiones Sonoras Competition, 1st Prize in Musica Nova competition. He taught at Aveiro University (Portugal) and Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). His publications include several articles in journals and a book on 20th century music theory. Lina Posėčnaitė (born 1995 in Klaipėda, Lithuania) began her music studies as a violin player in her hometown Klaipėda, Lithuania. 2014-2019 she completed her Bachelor of Music in composition at the University of the Arts Bremen (Germany). Since September 2019 she has been pursuing her Master of Music at the Academy of Music FHNW (Basel, Switzerland). Her compositions have been performed in various concerts and festivals in Germany, Lithuania and Switzerland, broadcasted on different radios (nordwestradio, Radio Angrezi, CKCU FM 93.1) as well as recorded on CDs: „Martynas Švėgžda von Bekker: Lithuanian XXI Cent. Expressions for Violin“ and „drop the beat“ of the German Society for Electroacoustic Music (DEGEM). She took part in many masterclasses and workshops, such as impuls.11th International Ensemble and Composers Academy for Contemporary Music 2019, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Next Generation of Donaueschinger Musiktage, Labor of Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik.
Simone Scarazza - Composer, musician and audio technician is attending a University course to get a degree on Electronic Music at the Conservatory in L'Aquila with Michelangelo Lupone, Agostino Di Scipio and Maria Cristina De Amicis.
Davor Branimir Vincze is a versatile, internationally active composer, recently awarded in “Boris Papandopulo” prize as The Best Croatian Contemporary Composer in 2020. Born in Zagreb, Davor obtained his degrees in composition in Graz and Stuttgart, after which he finished practical training in electronic composition at Ircam in Paris. His pieces have been performed by ensembles such as Jack Quartet, Talea, Ensembles Modern, Recherche, Intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien, and many others, in concerts and festivals such as Impuls, Présences, MATA, Manifeste, Biennale Zagreb, etc. In 2014 he has started Novalis festival for contemporary music in Croatia. Currently he lives in the US, where he is finishing his PhD in composition with Brian Ferneyhough and Patricia Alessandrini at Stanford University. His works are published by Maison ONA in Paris.
Mikrokosmos - Insieme Strumentale Italiano - It was born in Udine in 1989 and started an artistic route that quickly came to the attention of audiences and critics who recognized their characteristic emotional appeal, executive rush, and above all, their brilliant and original programs. The ensemble is marked by the different instrumental combinations that give them the opportunity to comply with the different demands of the chamber repertoire. They indeed propose formations that can be composed by a minimum number of performers or that can reach a chamber orchestra dimension. It’s been over thirty years since its foundation, and today MIKROKOSMOS represents a reality of unquestioned value, artistic collaborations with corporations and foundations, television and radio recordings and many discographic recordings.
