Agnese Toniutti diplomata in pianoforte al Conservatorio di Udine, e poi con il massimo dei voti al Conservatorio “B. Marcello” di Venezia con una tesi incentrata sull’opera di Giacinto Scelsi, si perfeziona in diversi seminari pianistici e cameristici tenuti tra gli altri da Francois-Joel Thiollier, Massimiliano Damerini, Lya De Barberiis, Pamela Mia Paul.

Nell’attività concertistica si concentra nella ricerca di una strada non convenzionale di comunicazione con il pubblico, tramite accostamenti di generi musicali apparentemente in contrasto, intersecati ad altre discipline artistiche (recitazione, danza, fotografia, arti visive e videoarte) nell’ambito del repertorio contemporaneo, con attenzione particolare per le opere di giovani compositori.
Si è esibita come solista e camerista in Italia, Austria, Ungheria e Stati Uniti, in diverse sale tra cui la Sala Wiener del Mozarteum di Salisburgo, Palazzo Cavagnis e Palazzo Pisani a Venezia, il Teatro Strehler di Milano, il Teatro Duse di Bologna, la Recital Hall della University of North Texas, Denton, per la serie di concerti di musica contemporanea Music Now Events (Denton, Texas), per la Shropshire Foundation e all’interno del Festival “All Frontiers - Indagini sulle musiche d’arte contemporanee”.

Agnese Toniutti graduated from the Conservatory of Udine. Subsequently, she graduated with full marks from the Conservatory of Venice with a thesis on Giacinto Scelsi. Later she specialized in piano and chamber music attending masterclasses with François-Joel Thiollier, Massimiliano Damerini, Lya De Barberiis and Pamela Mia Paul.
As a soloist and chamber music pianist she is active in several chamber and choral groups while dedicating herself to the contemporary piano repertoire and multimedia performance. Her projects also involve other languages in order to strenghten communication between performers and audiences (Le boeuf sur le toit, with painting and video art, Hommage a John Cage, with contemporary dance, Around Scelsi, a musical research on Scelsi’s cultural environment, Three trees and three sons and A stain on silence, with actor, Qui e oltre, with photography, visual and installation art). She has performed at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with the Simultaneo Ensemble Venezia, at Palazzo Cavagnis and Palazzo Pisani in Venice, at the Strehler Theater in Milan on a live RAI broadcast, in the USA at the University of North Texas, and at the All Frontiers Festival, Italy, with solo and chamber music and with soloist Joelle Leandre.
