Carlo MASTROPIETRO

Carlo MASTROPIETRO - The italian guitarist and composer Carlo Mastropietro was born in New York in 1965. He studied classic guitar under the guide of Giuseppe Luconi and composition under the guide of Fabrizio Fanticini at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato “Achille Peri” in Reggio Emilia, later at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan under the guide of Adriano Guarnieri, Niccolò Castiglioni, Irlando Danieli. Further he followed advanced studies with Giorgio Magnanensi and Franco Donatoni at the “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena (1994-1995).
Some of his scores were published in Italy by Hyperprism Edizioni Musicali – Perugia.
He has been teaching at the Liceo Musicale “Attilio Bertolucci” in Parma since 2010.
He wrote for the Ecoensemble Jazz Lied - canzone per Yasemin, Saffo Frammenti, Fiction Sonata – omaggio a Donna Summer. 
He dedicated to Anna Bellagamba Il filo del discorso for solo piano in 2014, and to Morena Mestieri and Anna Bellagamba, Maria’s Piano Balcony – Winter in 2015, for G flute and piano.
