Fabrizio Fanticini Born in Reggio Emilia in I955, he studied with Armando Gentilucci and received his diploma in composition, choral music and choral conducting; then he attended the Master courses at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome under the tutelage of Franco Donatoni. Since 1974 on, his compositions have been performed at Como's Autunno Musicale, Aterforum, Turin's Settembre Musicale, Musica/Realtà, the Villa Medici Festival, Musica del Nostro Tempo, Di Nuovo Musica and many other international Music Festivals in Europe, Russia and USA. His works have also been recorded, published on CDs and broadcasted by the most important European national radio networks. His prizes include the Pugliatti Prize , the Premio Europa, the Evangelisti Competition, the first Goffredo Petrassi International Competition, the Suoni di Fiaba Prize and the Premio Città di Udine Since 1984 his works are published by Ricordi and TauKaj. He teaches at Parma Conservatory of Music 'Arrigo Boito' where he holds chairs in Harmony, counterpoint, fugue and composition and Experimental composition.
