The Taukay Ensemble activities began with the intention to keep alive a moment of thought for those kinds of music that, although not being orientated first hand towards the exploitation of those mechanisms belonging to the logic of mass marketing, for their own existence need support now more than ever from all those parts in question. This is also the reason that Taukay Ensemble carries on in all fields and above all regards all territories. This comes about by inciting composers towards creating works that are always innovating as well as creating moments of contact with the public through concert activities and the following recording of CD's. All the activities therefore are concentrated on the performance of compositions that are explicitly composed by many valid authors who work on our territory (some of undiscussed international part-owner-ship) as well as other prestigious composers who, with their disinterested adhesion towards the intiaitives, express a substantial support. Artistic responsibility of the activities of the Taukay Ensemble is carried out by Paolo Longo and Stefano Procaccioli.

Paolo Longo (Trieste, 1967), after graduating brilliantly in Piano at the conservatory of music of Trieste, from 1988 he assumed the position of maestro collaboratore e direttore assistente (Teatro Verdi of Triest, Opéra National de Lyon). He has worked with the major orchestra conductors and singers. He carries out concert activities in Europe as orchestra conductor and as accompanying pianist. He has participated in radio and television transmissions for the Slovenia Radiotelevision, RAI, Radio France Musique, Radio Classique.

Stefano Procaccioli (Treviso, 1960), graduated in Organ and organ Composition with T. Todero and in Composition with D. Zanettovich at the J. Tomadini Conservatory of Udine. He then perfected his compositional studies under the guidance of G. Manzoni. As a composer he obtained immediate recognition in various international and national competitions. In 1994 he recieved the commision of a composition for choir from the Warszawska Jesien international festival of contemporary music of Varsavia. Amongst the highlighted performances of his works are the ones at the Warszawska Jesien '94 Festival in Varsavia, at the Dresdner Tage der zeitgenossischen Musik of Dresda, at the International Biennial of contemporary music of Helsinki, and at the Musicora of Paris.
