The attention that the City Council continues to reserve for this kind of initiative, is the natural consequence of a long term project that aims towards an intense discovery of the complex and varied world of contemporary music. For some time now the main interlocutors in this sector, in the cultural panorama of the city, have been the Edizioni Musicali Taukay and the Delta Produzioni cultural association who, through detailed work made up of contacts between the existing realities and the capability to understand the necessities of the operators of this sector, have created an important ground of confrontation.
The three editions of the Concorso Internazionale di Musica Contemporanea Città di Udine and the attention given to the performing and composing aspects of the realities of the region, are the results of a spirit of initiative that the Council could never have refused to support.
We are therefore proud to support again this year a project that places the city of Udine as a reference point amongst the international offerings of research music.

2 fixed ideas: create space for the performance of contemporary music and the realities of the region,
1 city, Udine, that in a short period of time has become a center of international interest in the sector of cultured music

These are the numbers that are available in order to weigh all the pros and cons of our activity which has been carried out with commitment and passion.
The supporting fraim of the organization of the festival are the Assessorato alla Cultura of the Comune di Udine, without who1s far - sightedness nothing would have been possible, the Edizioni Musicali Taukay and the Delta Produzioni cultural association.
Other supporters are the Regione Autonoma Friuli - Venezia Giulia and the Fondazione CRUP who gave their support for the the realization of the initiative. The three appointments which make up the festival, all of great level, mostly Absolute National Premieres and with very diverse characteristics, allow a pleasant listening on different levels of mastering.
This year we again wanted to combine music and works of art: in fact it is possible to admire some sculptures by the artist Franco Ciot during the concerts.
I would like to thank all the friends and collaborators who organize this festival with me, for their profuse commitment and for that Love for Art that unites us and allows us to carry on even if it sometimes seems impossible.
