The Taukay Music Publishing House with the City Council of Udine support announces the results of the VI International Contemporary Music Contest "Città di Udine".

The Jury is thus composed:

Juraj Duris (Repubblica Slovacca)
John Yannelli (USA)

183 scores and recordings are arrived at our office (42 for electroacoustic section and 141 for chamber instrumental group).
The Jury, verified the good quality of the works arrived, made a first selection.

Between the Finalists the Jury chose:

• First Prize absolute for the "Instrumental compositions for chamber instrumental group" section (1000 euros, public performance and realization of a CD of the concert)

• First Prize absolute for "electro-acoustic, analogical and digital music" section
(1000 euros, public performance and realization of a CD of the concert)

Prize not awarded

Between the Finalists five compositions from the "instrumental compositions for chamber instrumental group" section and one composition from the "electro-acoustic, analogical and digital music" section have been selected for the performance and will be included in the compact disc compilation.

The selected compositions will be performed and recorded for the CD compilation in the "Contemporanea 2006" review, in October 2006, in Udine. The CD will be inserted between the records of Taukay Music Publishing House
