"Città di Udine"

The
TauKay Music Publishing House with the City Council of
Udine announces the results of the V International Contemporary
Music Contest "Città di Udine".
The Jury is thus composed:

Michele Biasutti, (Italia) Composer,
psycologist, University of Padova
Jean-Luc Darbellay,
(Switzerland) composer and conductor,

Yuji Itoh, (Japan)
Composer
Robert Scott Thompson.
(USA) Composer, Director of the
Center for Audio Recording Arts
(CARA) in the School of Music at
Georgia State University in Atlanta
112 scores and recordings
are arrived at our office (35 for electroacoustic section
and 77 for chamber instrumental group)
The Jury, verified the good quality of the works arrived, made
a first selection.The Finalists of the Contest were:

Between the Finalists the Jury chose:
First Prize absolute for the "Instrumental compositions for chamber instrumental group" section (1500 euros, public performance and realization of a CD of the concert)
Roberta Silvestrini with
the composition L’Acquata
First Prize absolute for "electro-acoustic, analogical and digital music" section (1500 euros, public performance and realization of a CD of the concert)
Jean-François Laporte with
the composition Dans le ventre du
dragon
Between the Finalists four compositions from the "instrumental
compositions for chamber instrumental group" section and one
compositions from the "electro-acoustic, analogical and digital
music" section have been selected for the performance and
are to be included in the compact disc compilation.

the composition Neon
The selected compositions will be performed and recorded for the
CD compilation in the "Contemporanea 2004" review,
in October 2004, in Udine. The CD will be inserted between the
records of Taukay Music Publishing House
There is also a Special mention of the Jury: Yu-Chung Tseng with the composition T.J.CHI
